Today, January 13, marks seven years since the terrorist attack near Volnovakha in the Donetsk region, organized by militants of the so-called “DPR”. As a result of the tragedy, 12 people died and 19 others were injured.
The reason for what happened was artillery shelling from BM-21 “Hail”, as a result of which some of the shells hit the bus “Zlatoustivka – Donetsk”, which was under passport control at the checkpoint. The militants fired about 40 shells, one of which exploded seven meters from Bogdan. The terrorist act was organized by representatives of the 5th OMSP “Oplot” of the Russian occupation forces.
After the tragedy in Volnovakha and Donetsk, the horrific statistics of deaths in Donbass were added by the residents of Mariupol: on January 24, Russian terrorists covered the city with “Hail”. At least 30 civilians were killed and more than 100 were injured.
During the eight years of the war, the Russian occupiers took the lives of an incredibly large number of Ukrainian civilians. Ukraine remembers and will always remember the victims of these terrible tragedies, and will surely punish those responsible for the murder of our citizens.
