Japan has introduced new sanctions against the Russian Federation.

The relevant statement was made by Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“The sanctions affected 130 individuals, including the Prime Minister of Russia, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, leaders of the so-called ‘L/DPR’, and others,” Yermak wrote.

In his words, the expanded list of sanctions also includes companies and organizations related to the defense sector.

A reminder that Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida stated earlier that Japan had agreed to impose an embargo on Russian crude oil imports as part of the G7 decision.
