Ukraine may receive USD 4.8 billion in funding from international partners within this month.
This was stated at a briefing by Deputy Governor of Ukraine’s National Bank Yuriy Heletiy, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Indeed, the amount of aid we receive is less than the estimated need of USD 5 billion a month. We believe that foreign aid will increase in the near future. According to reports, the Ministry of Finance expects to receive USD 4.8 billion from international partners in June,” Heletiy said.
Since the beginning of the war, Ukraine has received more than USD 6 billion worth of foreign aid in the form of grants and loans. Ukraine needs an additional $5 billion a month to cover current expenditures.
