Rickey John Hillier – Canadian Armed Forces general, retired, Chief of the Defense Staff 2004-2008, former commander of NATO ISAF in Afghanistan, military expert, and social activist, Head of Strategic military council of the Ukrainian World Congress

On June 2, the delegation of the Ukrainian World Congress met with the soldiers of the 114 territorial defense brigade of the Kyiv region and visited the towns liberated from the russian invaders: Bilohorodka, Dmytrivka, Bucha, Irpin, and Hostomel.

The presence of the foreign partners in Ukraine ensures the creation of an international anti-putin coalition and cements Ukraine as not just an aid recipient, but as a powerful ally in the global defense against World War III.

The members of the Strategic military council of the Ukrainian World Congress, who manage the lobbying efforts for military aid to Ukraine in NATO countries, were present:

Rickey John Hillier – Canadian Armed Forces general, retired, Chief of the Defense Staff 2004-2008, former commander of NATO ISAF in Afghanistan, military expert, and social activist, Head of Strategic military council of the Ukrainian World Congress;

Ihor Kozak – military and political expert (Washington – Ottava – Brussels – Kyiv), entrepreneur, Canadian Armed Forces officer, retired;

John Andrew Vellinga – Head of the Strategic military partnership program of the Ukrainian World Congress, entrepreneur, social activist;

Jeffrey James Owen Kroeker – military and political expert, lawyer, fundraiser.

The meeting took place as a part of the UWC delegation visit to Ukraine on June 1-4, 2022. Meetings with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk, Minister of Internal Affairs Denys Monastyrsky, Minister of Defence Oleksii Reznikov, and other ministers and heads of law enforcement agencies were held. Several memorandums about the support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine by the Ukrainian World Congress are expected to be signed during the meeting with the Minister of Defence. The security guarantees from the international partners are extremely important since they accelerate the creation of the new security format to replace the failed Yalta Conference system.

The delegates will also present the “Unite with Ukraine” initiative, which will be used to raise funds for the support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. More than $25 million were raised from the start of the war.
