Millions of Ukrainians are encountering russian propaganda every day. It spreads through TV, radio, mass media, social networks, and word of mouth. To defeat the enemy, we must fight it on all fronts. To this end, we have prepared a daily compilation of russian fakes.
FAKE: Ukraine has lost the Zaporizhzhia region
Russian propaganda has started to publish fake Ukrainian newspapers for captured Ukrainian prisoners of war. These newspapers look relatively convincing but mostly contain fakes about Ukrainian losses and defeats in the war. Such a tactic is not new and designed to break the morale of the prisoners, so they would cooperate with their captors.
Of course, the news in the paper is fake. A part of the Zaporizhzhia region is occupied by russia, but their advance has stalled long ago, and the CinC “interview” on the front page is just a retelling of russian propaganda narratives in the Ukrainian language.
FAKE: russia did not invade Ukraine, it declared a special military operation because it was forced by NATO
Yet another blatant lie from the master of blatant lies, Lavrov himself. In an interview with BBC, he once again tried to gaslight the entire planet into believing that russia did not invade Ukraine, never harmed a single civilian, and NATO is at fault for the entire situation.
It seems that Lavrov does not really understand that in the 21st century the world sees everything. Everything that russia has done, and is doing right now. russia invaded Ukraine unprovoked, killed thousands of innocent people, destroyed millions of homes, and committed horrible atrocities and war crimes. And everybody knows.
Be advised: russia is waging a full-scale information war against Ukraine. There are multitudes of new fakes swarming through the mass media every day. To protect you and your family, be sure to obtain and share your information only from official sources.
