Russian troops conduct an offensive near Verkhniokamyanka and assault operations in the area of the Lysychansk oil refinery, battles are ongoing.
This is stated in the latest report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the Russian invasion as of 06:00 on June 30, published on Facebook.
“In Donetsk direction, the enemy, with the support of artillery, is trying to block the town of Lysychansk and take control of a section of Lysychansk-Bakhmut highway. The invaders fired at civilian infrastructure in the areas of Lysychansk, Verkhniokamyanka and Siversk, launched an airstrike near Vovchoyarivka,” the report reads.
In Volyn and Polissya directions, the units of the armed forces of the Republic of Belarus continue to stay in the border areas of Brest and Gomel regions. According to available information, the military commissariats of these regions are studying the possibilities of covert mobilization of the population.
There are no significant changes in Siversky direction.
In Kharkiv direction, the enemy continues to defend the previously occupied positions. The invaders opened fire from tanks, mortars, tube and rocket artillery on the districts of Kharkiv city, the localities of Pytomnyk, Ukrainka, Peremoha, Dementiyivka, Prudianka, Korobochkyne, and Rubizhne.
The defenders resolutely suppressed an attempted enemy assault in the area of Dementiyivka. The occupiers retreated. Airstrikes were launched near Prudianka and Verkhniy Saltiv.
In Slovyansk direction, the enemy regroups its troops and defends itself. The invaders fired artillery on Mazanivka, Dibrivne, and Krasnopillia areas.
In Kramatorsk direction, the enemy did not conduct active hostilities, firing artillery on the Ukrainian positions.
In Bakhmut direction, shelling near Berestove, Pokrovske, and Zvanivka and an airstrike in Pokrovske area were recorded. Ukrainian soldiers stopped the offensive and inflicted significant losses on the occupiers in the areas of Klynove and Novoluhanske, as well as repulsed the assault towards the Vuhlehirsk TPP. In both cases, the enemy retreated.
In Avdiivka, Kurakhove, Novopavlivsk, and Zaporizhzhia directions, the enemy shelled Vodiane, Avdiivka, Marinka, Vuhledar, Poltavka, Novoukrainske, Novosilka, and Orikhove areas. The invaders launched airstrikes on the Ukrainian positions near Avdiivka and Shcherbaky. The Russians tried to assault Pavlivka area but failed and retreated.
In the Southern Buh direction, the enemy continues to systematically shell civilian and military infrastructure and regroups its troops. The Russians launched missile and air strikes in the areas of Kniazivka, Potiomkino, and Bereznehuvate, conducted aerial reconnaissance. The threat of missile strikes on the region’s critical infrastructure remains.
