THIS huge explosion is the result of Ukrainian forces blowing up a Russian weapons and ammunition warehouse in southern Ukraine, causing a massive shockwave. The night-time images show a massive explosion taking place in the distance, behind an urban area full of houses, with the footage ending as the shockwave from the explosion appears to reach the person filming after a few seconds. Other images, filmed from slightly further away, show the night sky being lit up by the explosion, with the person filming taking cover as they are reached by the shockwave as well. The Armed Forces of Ukraine said that they have destroyed the warehouse, reportedly containing Russian weapons and ammunition, in Nova Kakhovka, a city in the central Kakhovka Raion region of Kherson Oblast, in southern Ukraine
Russian invasion forces’ ammunition continue to explode in temporarily occupied Nova Kakhovka, Kherson Region. According to preliminary information, explosions in the Kherson region started at 05:00 am on July 18.
Local residents claim that the invaders’ ammunition depot was hit twice overnight.
Currently, there is no official confirmation from the Armed Forces of Ukraine on whether they struck this probable Russian military object.

Videos and photos of the incident were posted on social media.
Social media footage shows thick smoke and bright fireballs typical for fires in ammunition depots.
This is not the first time for Nova Kakhovka to see Russian invaders’ ammunition depots and other military facilities exploding.
Late at night on July 13, explosions also occurred in the temporarily occupied city. Local residents saw the fire as well. The incident took place in the Sokil microdistrict in Nova Kakhovka.
