Ukrainian defenders from the Kholodnyi Yar 93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade are stationed in the ruined town of Toretsk, targeting enemy troops to prevent the movement and accumulation of Russian assault groups.

As reported by Ukrinform, the Khortsia Operational-Strategic Group of Troops shared the update on Telegram.

“The town has been completely destroyed by the invaders. The remnants of the high-rise buildings are now only lifeless ruins, occasionally emitting smoke. It seemed like nothing could survive here. However, Ukrainian drone operators periodically spot groups of local residents who delayed their evacuation until it became nearly impossible to carry out,” the post reads.

The primary task for the Ukrainian defenders is to prevent the movement of enemy assault groups, who repeatedly attempt to advance deeper into Toretsk. They often congregate in basements, waiting for the opportunity to launch attacks on the Ukrainian positions.

The Russian invaders often bring radio-electronic warfare equipment to disrupt the Ukrainian drones’ surveillance. Nevertheless, the skilled drone operators continue to track the invaders, intercepting each other’s transmissions and assisting Ukrainian artillery and FPV drone pilots in targeting the enemy’s manpower.

As previously reported by Ukrinform, the Russian forces have turned Chasiv Yar and Toretsk in Donetsk region, along with Bilohorivka in Luhansk region, into ruins. Despite this, the defense of the Ukrainian towns continues.
