Number of victims of Russian drone strike on Sumy rises to two

The number of victims of the Russian drone strike on the center of Sumy has increased to two people, including one child.

According to Ukrinform, the National Police of Ukraine reported the news.

“Today, the Russian army launched a drone strike on a park in the central part of Sumy, near an educational institution. Two residents were injured, including a 7-year-old child. The people suffered physical injuries and acute stress reaction,” the report said.

Civilian infrastructure, private homes, and cars were damaged.

A police investigation team and bomb disposal experts are working at the scene. Law enforcement officers are documenting the consequences of the attack.

A criminal case has been opened under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (war crimes).

As reported by Ukrinform, during the day, a Russian strike UAV attacked the Sumy territorial community, causing damage and affecting the power supply system. There were reports of a child being injured.
