
President Volodymyr Zelensky has enacted the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) decision “On the Application of Personal Special Economic and Other Restrictive Measures (Sanctions),” which imposes sanctions against five individuals, including politicians and bloggers known for their pro-Russian narratives.
Decree No. 502/2025 was published on the website of the President of Ukraine, Ukrinform reports.
Five individuals were included in the sanctions list, including entrepreneur and politician Hennadii Balashov, MP of the VIII convocation from the Opposition Bloc and IX convocation from the Opposition Platform — For Life party, Natalia Korolevska, and video blogger Andrii Serebrianskyi.
Also among those subject to personal special economic and other restrictive measures are Russian journalist and propagandist Yulia Latynina and correspondent and blogger Tetiana Aksonenko.
The President called on the Cabinet of Ministers, the Security Service of Ukraine, in cooperation with the National Bank and the Commission of State Awards and Heraldry, to ensure the implementation and monitoring of the efficiency of the sanctions provided for by the NSDC decision.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is to inform the competent authorities of the EU, the U.S., and other countries about the application of sanctions and raise with them the issue of introducing similar restrictive measures against these individuals.
As reported, President Volodymyr Zelensky enacted the NSDC’s decision to impose sanctions on Chinese companies that supply components for Russian drones.
