Statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine on the Russian Federation’s decision to recognise the “independence” of the so-called “DPR” and “LPR”

Ukraine condemns the Russian Federation’s decision to recognise the “independence” of the quasi-entities it had created in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, the so-called “Luhansk People’s Republic” and “Donetsk People’s Republic”.  With this action the Russian side has blatantly defied the fundamental norms and principles of international law, the UN Charter, violated the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine within its internationally recognised borders. The Russian Federation’s decision to recognise the so-called “Luhansk People’s Republic” and “Donetsk People’s Republic” will have no legal implications. This decision sharply escalates the situation and can mean the Russian Federation’s unilateral withdrawal from…

The Kremlin’s goal is not Ukraine, they want the world to be scared

The Kremlin’s goal is not Ukraine, they want the world to be scared

Judging by the headlines in the Western media in recent days, you and I must now conduct this interview deep underground in a bunker. What went ‘wrong’? I am staying in the country. My family, my close friends and relatives — no one has fled anywhere, although we were promised there would be an invasion on the 15th, then the 16th… Everybody was saying that there would be traffic jams at the exits from Kyiv, on Zhytomyr or Odesa routes, and in fact you could hardly enter Kyiv at 7:30 in the morning, everybody was going to work, nobody ran away or…

Russian media adopts defiant tone in face of western sanctions

In Monday's newspapers many Russian outlets reject western accusations of aggression towards Ukraine and adopt a defiant tone in the face of western sanctions. The popular pro-government daily, Izvestia, carries comments from military commentator Vladislav Shurygin, who claims ongoing army drills with Belarusian forces are "peaceful," but notes they should serve as a warning to the Ukrainian government that its war with Russian backed separatists can't be won through "force". Kommersant, an influential business newspaper, tells its readers that "Moscow does not rule out that Ukraine or some third party is preparing to stage a provocation in Donbas in order…

Global communities stand united in support of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity

UWC and 20-million strong Ukrainian global communities stand united in support of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.“Failure to support Ukraine now or force it to submit Moscow’s demands will have dire ramifications for all of Central and Eastern Europe. It will embolden authoritarian regimes to redraw borders or impose spheres of influence over sovereign countries through force,” stated Paul Grod, UWC President. “The threat of further Russian aggression goes beyond Ukraine. It is a threat to democracy and rules-based international order. Ukraine has chosen its Euro-Atlantic democratic future. We must not allow the Kremlin to take it away or force…

President of France Macron met with Russian President Putin in Moscow

A frenzied anti-Ukrainian, anti-American, and anti-democratic bacchanal dominate  on the state channels of the Russian Federation. It aimed to blackmail Ukraine and the democratic countries of the West and provoke a war which  consequences could be disastrous. The Kremlin regime and Russian…
