Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, command of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine informs on continuation of the second phase of streamlining of the preliminary tests of the prototype model of the product “” Bogdana “in the period from October 20 to October 23, 2021 at the shooting range” Alibi “(military unit A1516 settlement Tuzla settlement Belgorod-Dnistrovsky district of Odesa region) will be carried out live shooting,” – the message says.
It is noted that the presence of unauthorized persons on the territory of the firing range and the adjacent territory during the firing range is prohibited in order to prevent accidents.
The Defense Ministry noted that a number of tests of promising weapons with live firing are organized on the basis of the “complex military and political situation in Ukraine, the urgent need to increase the combat capabilities of the AFU and to counter the existing challenges and threats to national security.
As Ukrinform reported, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense is actively financing the creation of ship-based Olkha and Neptun systems, as well as Bogdan anti-missile weapon systems: 5% of the UAH 22500000000 of DOZ-2021 is spent on research and development.
According to MoD representative Vladyslav Shostak, the amount of funding for the State Defence Order 2021 is only 22500000000 UAH. The lion’s share of funds, namely 59% of the total amount, this year is allocated for purchase of weaponry and military equipment produced serially. 27% of the DOZ budget is used for armament modernization and overhaul. 5% of the total amount of this budget is funding of developmental work. This includes the Olha and Neptun ship-based complexes, as well as the Bogdan SAU, Shostak added.
