Millions of Ukrainians are encountering russian propaganda every day. It spreads through TV, radio, mass media, social networks, and word of mouth. To defeat the enemy, we must fight it on all fronts. To this end, we have prepared a daily compilation of russian fakes.
Today, the russian information space is mostly focused on russian offensive in Donbas. The battle for Severodonetsk continues, with propagandists predicting doom and gloom for Ukrainian defenders, but, as before, there are no major russian successes to talk about. It seems that russia is desperate for at least some kind of victory, and Severodonetsk looks like it has become the goal of the whole operation.
Poland remains the main foreign target of russian propaganda, and the number of insults and lies thrown its way increases with each passing day. Whatever Poland is doing, kremlin does not like it.

FAKE: A new law about special status for the citizens of Poland in Ukraine is a violation of Ukrainian sovereignty

After a visit of Polish President Andrzej Duda to Kyiv, Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced a new law about the special status of Polish citizens in Ukraine. russian propaganda, which was trying to diminish and demonize Poland for a long time now, portrayed this as a confirmation of their fake about Poland wanting to subjugate Ukraine. Even though the details of the law are not known, propagandists already say that it will give Poles in Ukraine more rights compared to Ukrainians and submit the country to Polish rule. None of that is true.
Poland had enacted a law that provides additional civil rights and benefits to Ukrainians, to better accommodate the refugees and help them find temporary work and a place to live. Ukraine is enacting exactly the same law for Polish citizens in Ukraine, to thank the nation of Poland and advance friendship and integration between the two nations.
