Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has presented state awards to 215 servicemen, 30 of them posthumously.
The relevant decree was published by the Office of the President of Ukraine, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
In particular, the Ukrainian servicemen were rewarded “for personal courage and selfless actions shown in the defense of the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, loyalty to the military oath”.
The order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky (grade I) was given to lieutenant colonel Yurii Savchyn (posthumously).
The order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky (grade II) was presented to lieutenant colonel Sviatoslav Zaits, and 20 servicemen received the order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky (grade III).
The President of Ukraine also presented the order ‘For Courage’ (grade II) to four servicemen and ‘For Courage’ (grade III) to 96 servicemen (29 of them posthumously).
The medal ‘For Military Service to Ukraine’ was awarded to 48 servicemen, and the medal ‘Defender of the Motherland’ – to 31 servicemen.
The order of Princess Olga was given to medical service colonel Inna Brahina, and 13 more persons received the medal ‘For Lifesaving’.
