Thirty-two more residents were evacuated from Lysychansk, Luhansk region, to a safe place. A total of 98 people have been evacuated during the day.
“The situation with the shelling is difficult, so Lysychansk residents finally realized that it would not be possible just to wait out. Ninety-eight people opted for safety. The evacuation was organized by police, State Emergency Service workers, military, and volunteers. Secretly, quietly, they managed to come a dangerous way and have already breathed a sigh of relief,” Head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration Serhiy Haidai posted on Telegram.
Earlier it was reported on the evacuation of 66 people, including six children.
On June 4, Russian troops shelled Lysychansk with artillery, MLRS, launched a missile from Tochka-U system. Five houses, Ukrposhta post office, and the police station premises were damaged. About 30 shells hit the building of the humanitarian headquarters.
