The United Nations Independent International Commission of Inquiry on Ukraine has visited Kyiv Region and discussed with Irpin authorities the mechanisms used when documenting the war crimes committed by Russian troops.

The relevant statement was made by Kyiv Regional Military Administration Head Oleksii Kuleba on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Together with Head of the National Police of Ukraine in Kyiv Region Adnrii Niebytov and Kyiv Region’s Chief Investigator Viktor Luhovyi, we held a working meeting with international experts and Irpin authorities regarding the mechanisms used when documenting the war crimes committed by Russians and the evidence of human right violations committed by the terrorist state,” Kuleba noted.

Kuleba expressed gratitude to the international community for their efforts, as “bringing Russia to justice for what they have done in Ukraine is our common liability”.

According to Kuleba, over 1,300 civilians were killed by Russian occupiers in Kyiv Region. The number of victims continues to increase, as rescuers dismantle the rubble of more and more houses.
