Russian aggression affects 1,130 children in Ukraine

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, more than 1,130 children have been affected by the actions of Russian troops in Ukraine.

“According to the official information of juvenile prosecutors, 383 children were killed and more than 747 were injured as of September 12,” the Prosecutor General’s Office posted on Telegram.

It is emphasized that these figures are not final as the efforts are ongoing to establish casualties in the areas of active hostilities, in temporarily occupied and liberated territories.

According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, most children were affected in Donetsk region – 390, Kharkiv region – 209, Kyiv region – 116, Mykolaiv region – 72, Chernihiv region – 68, Luhansk region – 61, Kherson region – 55, Zaporizhzhia region – 46, Dnipropetrovsk region – 26.

As a result of bombing and shelling by Russian troops, 2,480 educational institutions were damaged, 289 of them were completely destroyed.

As reported, 228 children are considered missing in Ukraine as of the beginning of September.
