The G7 ambassadors in Ukraine have said they are concerned about the government’s interference in the management of the state-owned Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine (GTSOU) and Ukrenergo.

That’s according to the Twitter account of the German Presidency of the G7 Ambassadors’ Support Group in Kyiv, Ukrinform reports.

“G7 Ambassadors are concerned about authorities’ interference in the management of GTSOU and Ukrenergo. Holding fast to OECD Corporate governance reforms at Ukrainian SOEs will increase investor confidence, stop corruption, and speed Ukraine’s reconstruction post war,” the tweet reads.

JSC Mahistralni Gazoprovody Ukrainy (MGU) on September 16 terminated the powers of GTSOU General Director Sergiy Makogon. Pawel Jozef Stanczak was appointed acting head of the company.

JSC Mahistralni Gazoprovody Ukrainy is the sole shareholder of GTSOU. The owner of MGU is the state represented by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
