Belgium will support cultural institutions of Ukraine by providing generators and EUR 150,000 in aid.
This was stated by Ukrainian Culture and Information Policy Minister Oleksandr Tkachenko, Ukrinform reports with reference to the ministry’s press service.
It is noted that relevant agreements were achieved during a visit of Belgium’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Affairs and Foreign Trade and the Federal Cultural Institutions Hadja Lahbib to Kyiv.
“During the meeting, we agreed on important cooperation: Ukrainian cultural seasons in Belgium, supply of generators to our institutions and media for the winter, spreading of the ban on Russian propaganda, assistance in preserving Ukrainian cultural heritage, and aid in the amount of EUR 150,000 to the cultural sphere,” Tkachenko said.
In addition, according to the minister, Brussels will provide new humanitarian and military aid to Ukraine and join the humanitarian initiative Grain from Ukraine.
