Enemy focusing main efforts on Bakhmut, Avdiivka directions

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in its evening update on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

During the day, the enemy carried out two missile strikes and three air strikes, as well as more than 20 MLRS attacks on the positions of the Armed Forces and settlements along the contact line. Civil infrastructure facilities in the cities of Kupiansk, Zolochiv and Ochakiv were hit again.

According to the General Staff, there is still a threat of enemy missile strikes on the objects of the energy system and critical infrastructure throughout the territory of Ukraine.

In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the situation has not changed significantly. No signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups have been detected.

In the Siverskyi direction, the enemy shelled the settlements of Khrinivka and Hremyach in Chernihiv region and Seredyna-Buda and Chernetske in Sumy region with mortars and barrel artillery.

In the Slobozhanshchyna direction, the areas of Veterynarne, Hoptivka, Strelecha, Zelene, Ternova, Starytsia, Varvarivka, Dvorichna and Kamianka settlements in Kharkiv region came under artillery fire. The occupiers launched an airstrike near Kamianka.

In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy holds the defense. The invaders shelled the areas of Berestove, Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Kyslivka, Kotliarivka and Tabaivka in Kharkiv region and Novoselivske, Stelmakhivka and Pishchane in Luhansk region.

In the Lyman direction, the enemy shelled the areas of Makiivka, Ploshchanka and Nevske settlements in Luhansk region, Torske and Hryhorivka in Donetsk region.

In the Bakhmut and Avdiivka direction, the enemy is focusing its main efforts on conducting offensive operations. The invaders fired from tanks, mortars and rocket artillery at the areas of 30 settlements, including Andriivka, Verkhniokamianske, Berestove, Bilohorivka, Vesele, Blahodatne, Soledar, Bakhmutske, Bakhmut, Opytne, Avdiivka, Vodiane, Pervomaiske, Nevelske, Krasnohorivka, Hostre, Maryinka, and Novomykhailivka in Donetsk region. Russian invaders used operational-tactical and army aviation to launch strikes near Spirne, Klishchiivka, Pivnichne, Kamianka, Pervomaiske and Nevelske.

In the Novopavlivka direction, the enemy holds the defense. The invaders launched artillery and mortar attacks on the positions of Ukrainian troops near the settlements of Vuhledar, Novosilka, Prechystivka and Zolota Nyva in Donetsk region.

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, areas of 22 settlements came under enemy fire, in particular, Vremivka and Novopil in Donetsk region and Dorozhnianka, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Orikhiv, Novodanylivka, Novoandriivka, Mali Shcherbaky, Stepove in Zaporizhzhia region. In addition, enemy air strikes were recorded near Mali Shcherbaky and Stepove.
