Ukraine’s Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets and Poland’s Commissioner for Children’s Rights Protection Mikołaj Pawlak have discussed strengthening the cooperation in monitoring the observance of Ukrainian children’s rights in Poland.
Lubinets said this in a post on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
“We are closely cooperating with the colleague to support Ukrainian children in this country. Therefore, we discussed the topics of strengthening the cooperation in monitoring the observance of Ukrainian children’s rights and planned a number of joint events. In particular, visits to places where children live,” he said.
“Children who suffered from the Russian armed aggression need support and assistance. Therefore, we are trying to ensure it in all possible ways,” the Ukrainian ombudsman emphasized.
Lubinets thanked Poland and other countries that support Ukrainian children and Ukraine.
As reported by Ukrinform, according to the PESEL provision database, as of the end of December, there were 950,000 war refugees from Ukraine in Poland.
