Russia’s missile attack on Kharkiv: Fragments of woman’s body retrieved from under rubble of building

In Kharkiv, rescuers retrieved fragments of the body of an elderly woman from under the rubble of a residential building hit by a Russian missile on the night of January 29.

The press service of the State Emergency Service’s Main Department in Kharkiv region wrote this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

“As of 16:30 on January 31, the second day of search and rescue operations ended at the site of a four-story residential building destroyed by an enemy missile in the Kyivskyi district of Kharkiv. The rescuers managed to dismantle most of the emergency structures, to clear a significant part of the piles of construction debris, under which fragments of a dead woman were found on the level of the 4th floor,” the report says.

It is noted that all types of emergency and rescue work at this site will be continued on February 1.

As reported, On January 29, at 22:55, a Russian missile hit the roof of a residential building in the Kyivskyi district in Kharkiv, causing a fire. As a result of the attack, the roof and ceiling between the 4th and 3rd floors were destroyed, windows and doors in this and neighboring houses were damaged and broken. One person died, three were injured, according to local authorities. Fifteen residents were evacuated.
