Zelensky about his visit to Paris: We discussed weapons supplies, support for Ukraine, sanctions against Russia

During his visit to France, President Volodymyr Zelensky discussed with the French and German leaders the supply of weapons, the issue of economic and political support to Ukraine, sanctions against Russia and the peace formula.

President Zelensky said this in a Telegram post, Ukrinform reports.

“Yesterday, together with President of France Emmanuel Macron and Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz, we discussed the capabilities of supplying Ukraine with the necessary weapons, continuing economic and political support and strengthening sanctions policy against the aggressor state,” Zelensky said.

According to him, they talked about the implementation of the Peace Formula, which can ensure a steadfast end to the war on fair terms and in compliance with international law.

“It was a great honor for me to receive the highest award from the President of France – the Legion of Honour. This is a decoration for all Ukrainians, our heroic people, and our society. Thank you!” the President stressed.

As reported, President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in Brussels on Thursday, February 9.

On February 8, the Ukrainian president paid a visit to the United Kingdom, where he met with King Charles III and Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, as well as with Ukrainian military personnel undergoing training there.

In the evening, President Zelensky arrived in Paris, where he met with French President Emmanuel Macron and German Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
