Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky says it is no longer possible for him to sit at the negotiating table with Putin.

The relevant statement was made by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during the press conference ‘February. The Year of Invincibility’, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

According to Zelensky, he was ready for talks with Putin before the Russian full-scale invasion started.

In particular, the Head of State asked President of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, as well as other global leaders, to help organize the negotiation process.

“I told: please make Putin sit at the negotiating table. I told him [Erdoğan – Ed.]. And not only him. I told many that the risk of full-scale war cannot be allowed. He [the President of Türkiye – Ed.] could not do so then. And not only him. Now he believes he can, but now we cannot. This is no longer the right person [referring to Putin – Ed.]. There is nobody to talk with,” Zelensky explained.

A reminder that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is holding a press conference in Kyiv, dedicated to the one-year anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
