As many as 307 children have been returned from the territories temporarily occupied by Russia to the territory controlled by Ukraine.
Ukrainian ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets said this in a post on the Telegram messaging app, Ukrinform reports.
“At the end of February, the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights received a request for the return of a child who is in the territory temporarily occupied by Russia. In a few days, with the help and work of the staff of the Ombudsman’s Office, Sashko met her grandmother. Now the boy is in Ukraine,” Lubinets said.
The ombudsman said that according to the National Information Bureau, 307 Ukrainian children have now been returned to Ukraine.
