Border guards prevent enemy offensive attempt in Donetsk region with aerial reconnaissance

In the Donetsk region, servicemen from the Ukrainian State Border Guard Service, using aerial reconnaissance means, have detected and disrupted another offensive attempt by Russian troops. Additionally, they prevented enemy forces from storming the city of Bakhmut.

The relevant statement was made by the Ukrainian State Border Guard Service on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

In the Bakhmut direction, Russian infantry, with the support of artillery, were storming a stronghold of Ukrainian border guards. Ukrainian forces stopped the invaders with small arms and grenade launchers.

According to the Ukrainian State Border Guard Service, aerial reconnaissance detected the preparations of enemy infantry units. Ukrainian mortar gunners hit them immediately as they went on the offensive.

As a result, nine Russian soldiers were reported killed and 12 injured.
