Canadian sappers train Ukrainian military in Poland

In the Republic of Poland, a team of Canadian military engineers teach Ukrainian defenders how to overcome the mine threat on the battlefield.

The First Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksandr Pavliuk wrote this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

“While Russia’s war continues, Ukrainian military and civilians face an explosive threat on the battlefield. A detachment of Canadian combat engineers under the command of Lieutenant Jacques helps Ukraine overcome the mine threat on the battlefield as part of the Canadian Armed Forces’ UNIFIER training operation,” Lieutenant General said.

According to Pavliuk, Canadian sappers help Ukrainian servicemen acquire many skills necessary for survival and endurance.

«The military from the Canadian Armed Forces are on the territory of the Republic of Poland to use their experience to train Ukrainian soldiers and ensure their operational readiness,” added Pavliuk.
