An enterprise of Ukraine’s state defense conglomerate Ukroboronprom and Poland’s arms manufacturer Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa (PGZ S.A.) have concluded an agreement on cooperation in the joint production of 125 mm tank ammunition.
The conglomerate’s press service reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
“The deployment of new production lines designed for the production of a large number of ammunition for 125 mm tank guns is planned. Given the high risks of Russian missile attacks on an Ukroboronprom enterprise, only Polish cities are being considered for the creation of new production,” the report said.
Ukroboronprom specified that both parties would work on the production of shells. Ukraine will provide its technologies and highly qualified specialists with corresponding competencies and experience, and Poland will provide corresponding production facilities.
Earlier reports said that Ukroboronprom had already started producing 125 mm ammunition for tank guns together with a member country of the North Atlantic Alliance. Thus, the company will produce tank ammunition with two NATO member countries.
