The explosions that were reported in the Melitopol district late on April 6 have been recorded in the village of Vesele, Melitopol district, Zaporizhzhia region, where the invaders had been bringing their military equipment and personnel for four days.
Melitopol Mayor Ivan Fedorov stated this on national television, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.
“Yesterday, at about 20:30, explosions were heard in the east of Melitopol and the Melitopol district. It was in the village of Vesele. Several days before the explosions took place there, we reported that the enemy had been bringing their military equipment and personnel there for four days in a row,” Fedorov said.
According to him, the enemy turned off communication so that local residents could not inform the Ukrainian special services and Armed Forces about the movement of enemy forces.
Moreover, Fedorov said there was an explosion at a Russian air base in Melitopol several days ago.
On Thursday, April 6, local residents reported several loud explosions in the north of Melitopol and in the adjacent villages.
