The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine posted a video of Ukrainian recruits acquiring live-fire skills in a defensive battle as part of training on British soil under the guidance of Norwegian instructors.

The General Staff uploaded the video on Facebook, as seen by Ukrinform.

“Instructors of the Heimevernet as part of the Norwegian mission to train the Ukrainian military in Great Britain under the program of basic military training conduct classes on fire control by the small arms section in a defense. Under the expert guidance of the instructors of the Norwegian National Guard, the recruits gained valuable experience and skills that will help them defend Ukraine,” General Staff reported.

It is noted that this training allows recruits to master combat skills so that volunteers who have practically no or minimal military experience could effectively defend Ukraine.

The large-scale training course is aimed at increasing the security and capabilities of the Armed Forces in front-line combat operations.

The General Staff says the Kingdom of Norway continues to support the people of Ukraine and provides ongoing support in response to Russia’s violation of international law.

Servicemen with the Norwegian National Guard participate jointly with the training teams of partner countries in the training program for Ukrainian recruits under the leadership of Great Britain.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, Ukraine is looking into increasing the duration of training for new recruits before they are deployed in the war zone.
