Russians fire unguided air-to-surface missiles at Sumy region

On April 15, 2023, Russia’s helicopter fired unguided air-to-surface missiles at the Sumy region’s Yunakivka community.

The relevant statement was made by Sumy Regional Military Administration on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Today, Russians have opened fire on the Bilopillia, Velyka Pysarivka and Yunakivka communities. A total of 158 explosions were recorded,” the report states.

Russian troops used mortars, automatic grenade launchers and artillery. Additionally, three missile strikes were reported.

In particular, an enemy helicopter fired three unguided air-to-surface missiles at the Yunakivka community from the territory of Russia. The invaders also fired three mortar bombs. As a result, a power transmission line was damaged in the village of Basivka. Power supply services have already been restored.

In the Velyka Pysarivka community, Russian troops opened fire with automatic grenade launchers 15 times and fired seven mortar bombs.

In the Bilopillia community, Russians fired 26 mortar bombs and launched 10 artillery strikes.

A reminder that, on April 14, 2023, one community came under enemy fire in the Sumy region.
