The situation on the Kinburn Spit, which is temporarily occupied by Russian forces, is complicated, and there is currently no communication with residents.
The Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration Vitaliy Kim said this at a briefing at the International Summit of Cities and Regions, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“The situation on the Kinburn Spit, which is still under occupation, is difficult, but we cannot contact people there to find out precisely what is happening. That is why we monitor the situation using satellite images. I can indirectly say that the situation there is getting better when the shelling of Ochakiv decreases. Our Ukrainian Armed Forces are working and making progress,” Kim said.
He added that after the liberation of three settlements on the Kinburn Spit, it would be possible to record throwing out invaders from the entire territory of Mykolaiv region.
As reported, the participants of the International Summit of Cities and Regions, which is being held in Ukraine with the participation of international partners, are discussing the issues of rebuilding and developing communities.
