Eight Russian ships remaining in Black Sea, no missile carriers among them

Eight Russian ships are remaining in the Black Sea. Meanwhile, no missile carriers have been spotted among them.

The relevant statement was made by Head of the United Coordinating Press Center of the Southern Defense Forces Natalia Humeniuk during a nationwide telethon, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Currently, all missile carriers have returned to their home stations, and the [enemy’s – Ed.] naval group in the Black Sea, consisting of eight vessels, has no active missile carrier or warship,” Humeniuk told.

However, in her words, Russians have intensified aerial reconnaissance efforts.

“They are launching unmanned aerial vehicles to survey the sea, which indicates that the counteroffensive is appearing to them both by land and by sea,” Humeniuk noted.

A reminder that, on May 11, 2023, two Russian missile carriers with a total volley of up to 16 Kalibr-type cruise missiles were remaining on combat duty in the Black Sea.
