Border guards down Russian Kartograf drone in Kharkiv region

While performing combat missions in Kharkiv region, the soldiers of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine spotted a Russian unmanned aerial vehicle that crossed the state border and flew deep into the territory of Ukraine.

Border guards downed a Russian drone using special technical means.

“It turned out to be a secret device designed for creating maps of the area, so-called Kartograf. It has a camera with 12 lenses and is part of the ‘family’ of Ptero multi-purpose unmanned systems,” the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine reports.

The Russian invaders thus try to carry out aerial reconnaissance and launch operational-tactical UAVs of various modifications.
