Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov and Secretary of State for Defence of the United Kingdom Ben Wallace, who is paying a working visit to Ukraine, have discussed the continuation of training programs for the Ukrainian military in Great Britain.
The relevant statement was made by Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov at a joint press conference, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“We discussed the continuation of training programs for our servicemen on the British territory and the main priorities and accents for these trainings. […] We had an opportunity to shake hands with the pilots who were trained for this weaponry [Storm Shadow missiles – Ed.] in the United Kingdom, and they are now successfully using these weapons,” Reznikov told.
In his turn, Wallace mentioned he is delighted to visit Ukraine and meet with the Ukrainian military leaders.
“I’m always delighted to spend time here and visit with my friend, and discuss with not only my fellow minister but also with the military leaders of Ukraine their ambitions and their plans, and how much more Britain can help,” Wallace noted.
A reminder that, in the United Kingdom, under the guidance of Norwegian instructors, Ukrainian recruits are practicing firing NLAWs to rapidly destroy enemy armored vehicles in close-range combat.
