According to today’s tentative reports from the regions, the situation of bomb shelters is the most complicated in Kyiv but it is also relevant for other regions.

This was stated by the Deputy Head of the President’s Office, Oleksiy Kuleba, who spoke on the air of the national telethon.

“We receive information about other regions every day. This morning we saw tentative reports. The situation is different in various regions. All regional centers and regions have work to do,” he said.

At the same time, Kuleba emphasized that the situation of shelters is the most difficult in the capital, judging by the figures available at the moment. According to him, the security and law enforcement bloc, in particular the police and State Emergency Service, “will be involved so that the local self-government bodies bring shelters to order as soon as possible.”

As Ukrinform reported earlier, the Minister of Strategic Industries Oleksandr Kamyshin said that as of today, 1,078 shelters had been inspected in the capital, half of which were found to be in a non-operable condition – either not suitable for use or locked.

A chatbot open_shelter was created for Kyiv residents, which allows for independently assessing the current state of bomb shelters.
