In Ukraine, Russia kills 485 children, injures 1,005 since war-start

As a result of Russia’s armed aggression, 485 children have already been killed in Ukraine and another 1,005 have been injured.

That’s according to the Prosecutor General’s Office, Ukrinform reports.

“As of the morning of June 4, 2023, 1,490 children were injured in Ukraine as a result of Russia’s full-scale armed aggression. According to the official report by juvenile prosecutors, 485 children were killed and more than 1,005 were injured,” the report reads.

The report is not final as the work in ongoing on verifying data from hostility zones, temporarily captured and liberated territories.

The largest numbers of affected children were reported in Donetsk region (464), Kharkiv region (283), Kyiv region (128), Kherson region (105), Zaporizhzhia region (91), Mykolaiv region (89), Dnipropetrovsk region (80), Chernihiv region (71), and Luhansk region (67).

On June 3, a 2-year-old girl was killed and five children aged 6 to 17 were injured as a result of a Russian missile strike that hit the town of Pidhorodne, Dnipropetrovsk region.

Also, on June 3, two boys aged 15 and 16 were wounded as a result of enemy shelling of the town of Hirnyk, Donetsk region.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, on the evening of Saturday, June 3, the Russian army attacked Dnipropetrovsk region. The missile hit a two-storey residential building causing multiple casualties.
