Firefighter killed as Russia’s repeated strike

A Ukrainian firefighter was killed in Kharkiv region by a Russian strike as he was putting out a fire at the site of the previous hit at the same site.

This was announced on Facebook by the State Emergency Service office in Kharkiv region, reports Ukrinform.

“Another crime against rescuers: during firefighting, repeated shelling ended the life of a firefighter in Kharkiv region. Mykhailo Piskun, a firefighter with the 12th State Fire and Rescue Unit of the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Kharkiv region, was 29 years old,” the statement said.

His fellow firefighter, Ivan Moskalyuk, suffered numerous injuries and was hospitalized.

As reported by Ukrinform, over the past day, Russian invaders shelled the settlements of Kharkiv, Kupiansk, Chuhuiv, Bohoduhiv, and Izyim districts with various weapons.

At night, the enemy attack involved more than 10 kamikaze UAVs targeting the Bohoduhiv district. A number of fires ensued.
