Shmyhal visits Posad-Pokrovske village in Kherson region

Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal visited Posad-Pokrovske village in Kherson region, where comprehensive reconstruction under the Build back better principle is underway.

“Posad-Pokrovske village in Kherson region is one of the six settlements where complex reconstruction under the Build back better principle is underway. Today, we observed the reconstruction process and talked with the community,” Shmyhal posted on Telegram.

According to the State Emergency Service, the village has been demined by almost 90%, the electricity supply has been restored, and people are gradually returning to the village.








The Prime Minister noted that all buildings in Posad-Pokrovsky were damaged due to the Russian occupation. In total, there are about 1,000 buildings in the village. The first construction projects have already started. According to modern standards, an outpatient clinic, a community center of the village, a kindergarten and a school will be built, he said.

Shmyhal emphasized that the restoration of Posad-Pokrovsky should become a model for the further reconstruction and modernization of the whole of Ukraine.

As reported, the Government of Ukraine held a field meeting in Kherson region.

The Cabinet of Ministers approved a decision to allocate UAH 6.6 billion from the Fund for Liquidation of the Consequences of Armed Aggression for the restoration of infrastructure in eight regions.
