“We continue to set up engineering barriers directly along the state border. We are digging anti-tank ditches and mining the area,” Naiev said.

The lieutenant general noted that appropriate minefields were being set up to prevent the penetration of enemy subversive groups and crossing the border by armored vehicles.

“We understand that we will not need the state border line with our northern neighbors in civilian form for a long time, as we have no friends on the other side of the border. Therefore, the task is to make the border strip impassable for the enemy,” Naiev said.

At the same time, he informed that over the last decade of the month, 30 anti-tank minefields and barriers were installed using more than 5,800 mines.

As Ukrinform reported, Spain will provide Ukrainian border guards with a mobile hospital and armored medical vehicles that will allow them to evacuate the wounded from the combat zone.
