Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhny discussed the situation on the battlefield and the delivery of security assistance to Ukraine with Chairman of U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark Milley.
“I spoke in detail about the operational situation along the entire front line. The Armed Forces of Ukraine, despite the extremely complex minefields set up by the enemy, anti-tank barricades, and fire damage system, methodically destroy the enemy’s forces and continue to conduct offensive operations to de-occupy our territory. We have success in several directions. Our soldiers are Heroes,” the Commander-in-Chief posted on Telegram.
According to him, the issue of delivery of security assistance to Ukraine, including equipment and ammunition, was also discussed during the telephone conversation.
“I am grateful to General Milley and all the people of the United States for their strong support and dialogue which we will continue in the future,” Zaluzhny stressed.
As reported, Ukrainian pilots’ F-16 training and the provision of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with additional air defense systems, other weapons, and ammunition were discussed during the Ukraine Defense Contact Group meeting Tuesday.
