Mykolayiv region received about UAH 2.5 billion from the state for the restoration of social infrastructure and water supply facilities.

“In 2023, Mykolayiv region has received funding in the amount of UAH 626,826,000 for the restoration of five social infrastructure facilities (three hospitals and two schools) at the expense of the Fund for the Liquidation of the Consequences of Armed Aggression. In addition, three more schools and two kindergartens will be restored by the Agency for Reconstruction of Ukraine. UAH 668 million has been allocated for this,” Head of the Mykolayiv Regional Military Administration Vitaliy Kim told a briefing, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

Moreover, according to him, the allocation of about 1.2 billion, including UAH 670 million for 2023, was agreed on for the reconstruction of water supply networks in Mykolayiv at the expense of the Fund.

“This is a big project, and we will implement it for at least two years – the current and the next. But this will not affect the city’s water supply,” Kim emphasized.

The Fund for the Liquidation of the Consequences of Armed Aggression was created in 2023 as part of a special fund of the state budget. Its primary task is the restoration of destroyed or damaged residential facilities and the construction or repair of critical infrastructure facilities.

As reported, 17 bridges out of 20 destroyed by Russian shelling were restored in Mykolayiv region.
