During a meeting in Kyiv, German Finance Minister Christian Lindner assured the leadership of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine of Germany’s unwavering support for the fight of the Ukrainian people for freedom.
“Lindner emphasized during negotiations with Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksii Reznikov, Deputy Minister of Defense Andriy Shevchenko, and soldiers of the Armed Forces that the Ukrainian people can continue to rely on the support from Germany in their fight for freedom,” the German Embassy in Ukraine posted on X (formerly known as Twitter).

The Embassy added that the service members with whom Lindner spoke had undergone training on IRIS-T air defense systems provided by Germany.
As reported, German finance minister Christian Lindner arrived in Kyiv on the morning of August 14 – this is his first visit to the Ukrainian capital since the beginning of the full-scale war unleashed by Russia.
