He added that Ukraine wanted to participate in the G20 Summit as economic problems would be discussed there.

Earlier, India’s Minister of External Affairs Subrahmanyam Jaishankar confirmed that Ukraine was not invited to the G20 Summit which will be held in India on September 9-10.

Jaishankar noted that India’s decision not to invite Ukraine was made in view of the fact that the G20 deals with growth and development, not conflict settlement which should take place at the UN Security Council.
