Russian units in the left-bank part of the Kherson region encounter their own mines left over from the explosion of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant.
Natalia Humeniuk, head of the joint press center of the Operational Command South, said this on the air of the telethon ‘United News’, according to Ukrinform.
“On the left bank, they (the occupants – ed.) are still unable to recover from the consequences of the disaster they created. They did not organize minefields, they are now suffering from our counter-battery fight, we are knocking them out … deeper into the rear so that they stop shelling the civilian population of the right bank. The firing positions they managed to deploy on the left bank are often blown up by themselves on mines they could not find after the high water, and the first line of defense they built for themselves is becoming their last,” said Humeniuk.
She noted that in this area, the Defense Forces destroy 30 to 70 occupants daily, and work is underway to destroy the enemy’s river flotilla.
