As previously reported by Ukrinform, Polish police detained a 17-year-old Ukrainian citizen on suspicion of vandalism and inciting ethnic hatred.

The Ukrainian Embassy strongly condemned the acts of vandalism targeting memorial sites in Poland, describing them as a Russian provocation.

On August 13, Polish police announced the detention of two 17-year-old Ukrainians accused of defacing buildings and memorials dedicated to victims of the Volyn tragedy. The suspects allegedly painted red-and-black flags and left slogans associated with Stepan Bandera.
