The change in fuel prices on Monday is related to the end of holiday discounts at gas stations that were offered on Independence Day.
This was stated in a comment to Ukrinform by Serhii Kuiun, Director of the A95 Consulting Group.
“This is simply a return to the prices that were in effect before the holiday discounts,” Kuiun said.
According to the Director of the A95 Consulting Group, oil prices on world markets are currently stable. The expert believes that most gas station chains now have the opportunity to lower fuel prices, but are in no hurry to do so.
As reported, on Monday, August 25, the average price of A-95 gasoline rose by 2.8% to 58.65 UAH/liter, and diesel fuel rose by 1.8% to 55.84 UAH/liter. At the same time, on August 22, the average price of A-95 gasoline fell by 2.61% to 57.07 UAH/liter, and diesel fuel fell by 2.72% to 54.27 UAH/liter.
