Starting October 1, Poland will not be able to pay for Starlink subscriptions for Ukraine due to President Karol Nawrocki’s veto of the law on extending aid to Ukrainian citizens.
This was announced by Marek Gieorgica, spokesman for the Polish Ministry of Digital Affairs, Ukrinform reports, citing TVP World.
“The bill, which President (Karol) Nawrocki vetoed, extended the period of assistance, meaning this funding from the Ukraine Aid Fund, until the end of March next year,” he said.
Gieorgica added that there is now no legal basis for financing Starlink subscriptions for Ukraine from October 1 this year.
As reported by Ukrinform, Polish President Karol Nawrocki announced on Monday, August 25, that he had not signed an amendment to the law on aid to Ukrainian citizens.
