Prime Minister of Ukraine Yuliia Svyrydenko and German Vice Chancellor, Federal Minister of Finance Lars Klingbeil, discussed financing Ukraine’s state budget and defense needs during a meeting in Kyiv.
Svyrydenko reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
“We talked about the key challenges Ukraine is facing today: financing the state budget, defense needs, and macro-financial stability. Continued cooperation with the IMF and partner support are critically important for us,” she noted.

The two sides also discussed reforms and economic recovery.
Svyrydenko presented Klingbeil with the Reform Matrix – an interactive tool that systematizes more than 200 reforms and over 400 indicators.

“The government is focused on steps toward deregulation and privatization. It is important to create conditions for the private sector to invest and rebuild industry, energy, and housing,” the Prime Minister emphasized.

According to her, Germany shared its experience with grant support programs for businesses and expressed readiness to seek opportunities for attracting investments in Ukraine.
“Eurointegration was also discussed. In September, decisions are expected regarding negotiation clusters with the EU. It is important that Ukraine and Moldova move along this path together,” the head of government stressed.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, Germany’s Vice Chancellor and Federal Minister of Finance Lars Klingbeil arrived in Kyiv on an official visit.
