Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andrii Yermak and Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) Rustem Umerov discussed ways to achieve peace with Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Defense and National Security Advisor.
Yermak reported this on Telegram, Ukrinform saw.
“Day two. Riyadh. Together with NSDC Secretary Rustem Umerov, we met with Minister of Defense of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, His Royal Highness Khalid bin Salman Al Saud. The main topics of our conversation were the paths to achieving a lasting peace for Ukraine and Saudi Arabia’s role in this process. We also had a meeting with National Security Advisor, Minister of State, Member of the Saudi Arabian Government Musaed Bin Mohammed al-Aiban. We exchanged views on the concept of security guarantees for Ukraine,” Yermak wrote.
He stressed that Saudi Arabia, under the personal leadership of His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, plays a leading role in peace initiatives for Ukraine — from hosting the meeting of national security advisors within the framework of the Peace Formula to this year’s talks in Jeddah with a U.S. delegation.
“Ukraine is extremely grateful for Saudi Arabia’s determined commitment to helping achieve a sustainable and just peace for our country,” the head of the President’s Office emphasized.
As reported, yesterday, Yermak and Umerov held talks with government officials in Qatar’s capital, Doha.
